CrossFit Testing Day – 10am, 14th April 2012

The CrossFit ‘Girls’ Helen, Cindy, Diane and Fran are the original benchmarks from CrossFit in the early days – used to measure improved strength and fitness – and to test your mettle!

Come along on the 14th of April at 10am to test yourself against CrossFit benchmark workout ‘Helen’. It will be scaled for all abilities and there will be a prize for best effort – the WOD will be retested 6 weeks later and there will be another prize for most improved!

But wait …there’s more!

Nutrition is a key element to optimal health and performance. To inspire your taste buds our resident Nutritionist Sara will also have a selection of yummy Primal and Paleo food for participants to enjoy after the WOD. And if that wasn’t enough we will also have some simple and great tasting recipes to take away.

Spaces are limited to 20 people per testing day – Register ASAP!

Each testing day costs $20 and includes admission to the event, entry into the ‘Best effort’ prize, Primal brunch and free yummy recipes.

Register using the online booking in system – deadline for entries is 5PM on the 12th of April 2012.

All payments will be made via direct debit prior to testing  day for catering requirements.

“CrossFit Christchurch is a fantastic place to become a better athlete no matter what your ability or fitness goals. The workouts are demanding and will certainly put body and mind to the test, but Peter and Chris ensure that no matter how hard you push, pull, burn and hurt through the day’s workout, you will truly have some fun.

As a kayaker paddling some of New Zealand’s hardest rivers, I must be in top physical and mental form. There is no training regimen that I have found that compares to CrossFit to prepare me for hucking off big waterfalls and staying focused during kilometer after kilometer of seething whitewater.

Tuesday … Earthquake!

I kid you not… Earthquakes.. again!

Here’s what the front of the building looks like…

Today was sad. The building will be condemned. So all the gear had to come out.

Big thank you to Todd, Pat, Chris, Brian, Anna C, John P and Chris’s friend (sorry can’t remember your name, sorry!) for the help this afternoon :-)

A sad day for Christchurch… and a sad day for CrossFit Christchurch.
